Chris Fulmer is a graduate of North Texas State University (MA in art history), Trinity University (BA in art and English), and the University of Texas at Austin (BFA in Art Education). She also has accumulated a substantial amount of graduate studio hours from Texas Tech University. 

She is a professor of art at North Lake College, Irving, Texas. Past experiences include: consultant for Binney & Smith, public school art educator, and curriculum development for Laguna Gloria Museum (Austin, Texas).

As an artist, Chris creates mixed media work on paper and panel. Often including three-dimensional objects and areas of texture, she executes thematic works dealing with literature, symbolism, or personal experiences. Her award winning work has appeared internationally, nationally, and locally in a variety of shows and juried exhibitions. Her work is also included in corporate and commercial collections, including Texas Instruments, JW Marriott Hill Country Resort, Falling Rock Resort, The Woodlands Convention Center, and the DFW Executive Center. Her writing and illustrations have been published by The Austin American-Statesman, The Dallas Morning News, North Lake College's Gateways, The Irving News's ARTimes, What Canst Thou Say, and Artist's Magazine. A thirty minute documentary was produced and televised by Irving Community Television Network. CBS-DFW named Chris Fulmer as “Best Of,” in the July 11, 2011, edition of the on-line news.

Most recently she has designed the DART light rail train station at North Lake College, which will be completed in December of 2012. Her work has been on exhibition at Ft. Worth Community Arts Center, Texas Woman’s University, 500X, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary Gallery, 14th Street Gallery (Plano, Texas), Ft. Worth Community Arts Center, The Art Corridor (Tarrant County College Southeast), Texas Tech University’s International Affairs Gallery, The University of Dallas’s Haggerty Gallery, The Gallery at the Guadalupe Arts Center (Austin, Texas), The Center for Spirituality in the Arts (Incarnate Word, San Antonio), The Laredo Arts Center, The ArtCentre of Plano, The Warehouse Living Arts Center (Corsicana, Texas), San Jacinto Tower, Coppell Arts Center, Unit Instruments, The Bath House Cultural Center, Irving Art Association Center for the Arts, North Lake College, Dallas Visual Arts Center, The Art Annex of Coppell, Mountain View College, The Dallas City Hall, The Bill J. Priest Center, Mountain View College, and Irving Arts Center. Her work was exhibited in the first international figure drawing exhibition in Katmandu, Nepal.
